On Tuesday 8th October, VCBC took part in Christchurch Library’s events week, setting up a scaled-down Boccia court in the Children’s Library. VCBC coaches explained briefly how the game is played, before giving a quick demonstration of some basic skills.
Visitors were then given a warm-up activity before taking part in a pairs game. Our visitors were very keen, interested and, having played bowls, very competent, so the competition was intense! They also asked a lot of questions about Boccia, and have taken away information sheets so they can spread the message! We hope to be able to develop further contacts and extend public knowledge about the game.
